More RM2K/3!

I figured I'm on an RM2K/3 high right now so I thought I'd post another game from that engine; this time it's Mystic Lands from JKB Productions. The first thing I noticed about this game is that there's tons of info about it. The author/s really want us to know about all the extras packed into the game unlike many games which only show off custom menus or battle systems. This one really peaked my interest. First off, the lovely battle system:

If Breath of Fire, Wild Arms, and Final Fantasy X had a ménages à trois... this would be its baby. The thing that stands out most is that it doesn't bore you in any way. There's no need for OCD-ing the 'enter' button because there's always something more to do. Really good stuff.

Here's another that peaked my interest:

It surprises me that this was made in RM2K/3, an engine that can do a lot, but not a whole lot. While the 'mini-game' itself could probably prove to have more to it, it's a prime example of what you can do if you take your time and stick to a project. This whole game looks amazing. Plus, I just love the use of Super Smash Brother Melee's 'Ganondorf' charge up punch sound that one of the characters use in the battle system. Good stuff. :P

Oh, and here's the link to the YouTube profile for more vids. Keep up the great work, JKB!
